Zion is a community of believers who have been gathering in Lexington since 1745. Part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), we have a heart
for serving our community inspired by our faith in Jesus Christ.
We hope you will feel loved as you get to know us better.
Zion is located on 17 acres above the Saluda River just a half mile off Highway #378 at I-20 in Lexington, near River Bluff High School. Zion has an expansive, architecturally congruent campus which includes a beautiful, historic sanctuary seating 350, an education facility and a 22,000 square feet Family Life Center (FLC) which houses classrooms, a gymnasium, a youth lounge, and commercial kitchen.
Located behind the FLC is a large Scout lodge, ball field and wooded acreage. Administrative offices are located in the renovated former parsonage. The congregation is blessed to have a large cemetery on site which provides a free sacred resting place for members who choose to be interred there.
